State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with FENAKA Corporation to provide technical assistance.
The agreement was signed by STELCO Managing Director Hussein Fahmy and FENAKA Managing Director Muaz Mohamed Rasheed.
STELCO will offer mechanical and engineering training to meet FENAKA staff needs. Considering FENAKA’s financial status, STELCO stated that they will provide free services as well.
Muaz mentioned that, given the financial strains in the company, STELCO’s assistance would be of great help.
Before signing the MoU, both companies met yesterday to discuss joint initiatives to enhance the services they provide to the public.
STELCO is the largest electricity provider in the Maldives, and FENAKA is a state-owned utility company that supplies electricity, water, and sewerage services to the island communities of the Maldives.
