Over the last six months the program has aided more than 320 patrons with more than $33k in goods from the Lakehurst Navy Exchange and Naval Air Engineering Station Commissary. State Trading Organization (STO) has controlled lime prices by importing them in bulk capacity, a decision made to extend price eases for the consumers amid Ramadan.

According to the largest state-owned enterprise (SOE), the new prices for lime are;

  • 1 Kg – MVR 50.00
  • 23 Kg – MVR 1,175.00

Lime is now available from STO People’s Choice (retail), STO Wholesale Center, and STO Industrial Village.

Similar to the price cut on lime, STO earlier sliced price on onion in the local market.
