The Banking, Finance and Insurance Institute of Nepal (BFIN) is collaborating with Maldives Capacity Development and Governance Institute (MCDGI) to conduct a five-day Exposure Visit.
The financial industry in the 21st century is operating in an environment that requires senior professionals to possess a good combination of hard banking knowledge and skills, exceptional leadership qualities, and amiable interpersonal attitudes of the banking and financing industry.
This Exposure Visit, as such is aimed at understanding the financial infrastructure and help the delegates learn about the most emerging issues, challenges, and development in the financial sector in the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
Delegates will return to Colombo from Maldives and visit the commercial bank of Sri Lanka to learn about their success stories and how they managed the recent financial crisis as well.
The learning objectives of Exposure Visit include;
- Becoming aware of emerging trends and directions in the finance industry in the Maldives
- Understanding the development, risks and challenges in the Maldives financial sector
- Gaining practical insights into banking operations and best practices
- Prepare leaders to cope with the digital world of tomorrow
- Understanding the governance and risks, and seeking ways to optimize them
- Learning how Sri Lanka has managed the financial crises and best practices of the bank
The Exposure Visit will be carried out under different instructional methodologies, which would include face-to-face meetings and discussions, and study visits.
This program is designed exclusively for middle, senior and executive level staff of banks and other financial institutions.
The program will run from May 27 to May 31, 2024.
