Tree Top Hospital welcomes first IVF miracle

Tree Top Hospital on Wednesday, announced the birth of the first baby conceived through In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) within the Maldives, making this year’s Mother’s Day even more special.

This occasion, a monumental one, in the history of the country’s healthcare landscape.

The health baby boy, born to a Maldivian couple on May 12, 2024, “represents the culmination of expertise and dedication” from Tree Top Hospital’s world-class fertility team.

“The successful delivery signifies a new era of fertility treatment accessibility for Maldivian couples. Previously, individuals seeking IVF faced the added stress and financial burden of traveling abroad,” said Dr. Anita Gaur, Head of Tree Top Hospital’s Fertility Center.
