The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Art on Tuesday announced the decision to provide financial assistance to local civil societies and associations to execute community empowerment projects.
Interested associations may submit the proposals by 13:00hrs on June 04, 2024.
The government will provide financial support for small, medium and extended community-centric projects under the first phase of the program.
Eligible proponents are required to submit the proposals at [email protected]. Proponents are required to submit the following documents with the proposals;
- Registration Copy of the Association/Civil Society
- National ID Card copies of the people responsible with project aspects
- The consent letter from the relevant local council authority for projects under Island Development Plans
- Other supporting documents
The aim of the grant is to encourage local associations and civil societies to run community-centric projects, provide financial support, and increase their involvement in the development of the communities.
