The Civil Services Conference is scheduled for June 9-10 at Dharubaaruge. The theme for this year’s conference is “Smart Governance for Civil Services Excellence.”

This biennial conference, initiated in 2014, aims to research and understand civil services while identifying areas for improvement. It also includes academic discussions on modern changes necessary for service enhancement.

This year’s edition will feature the presentation of 12 papers across three thematic areas: adapting work processes in light of modern technology, building a responsible civil service that effectively serves the public, and transforming workplace culture to align with good discipline and values.

Additionally, the conference will host keynote speeches from two foreign and two local speakers. About 280 participants, including top hierarchy officials, state ministers, deputy ministers, city mayors, council presidents from atolls, and other senior officials, are expected to attend.
