The Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) has announced a joint roadshow in India, to boost the Maldives destination strength.

MATATO is joined by the National Hotels & Guest House Association of Maldives (NHGAM) and Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) in the roadshow.

The trio will take to three of the major Indian cities to promote the Maldivian tourism brand, and the island nation’s latest tourism updates and offerings from multiple segments – from tourist resorts, guesthouses, and liveaboards.

The roadshow series will kick off from Bangalore on July 22, followed by Mumbai on July 24, and wrapping up in New Delhi on July 26.

The strategic initiative aims to strengthen the Maldives’ presence in the Indian market, one of the fastest-growing outbound tourism markets, and the top source market to the Maldives from 2020 to 2023 before slipping down to sixth spot this year.

The roadshow will showcase the unique offerings of the Maldivian tourism industry, as mentioned above, including a showcase of the island nation’s pristine beaches, tourist properties, vibrant marine life, and rich cultural heritage.

Through this program, MATATO will give special considerations and highlights on the latest tourism developments, travel packages, and exclusive deals tailored for Indian travelers.

Moreover, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with Maldivian travel industry stakeholders from hotel to tour operators, and airline representatives and other industry stakeholders.
