The Ooredoo Nation Global Faceoff: Maldives vs. Qatar Rocket League tournament has successfully concluded on Saturday evening.
The winners were conferred with awards at the closing ceremony, Ooredoo Maldives added. The champion team received a prize of USD 960 from the price pool of USD 1,919.
CEO Khalid Al-Khamadi, while speaking at the closing ceremony said he hoped the tournament gave an ideal setting for gamers and the gaming community to come together and support each other showcasing exemplary sportsmanship.
Al-Khamadi promised Ooredoo Maldives will host similar global tournaments in the future as well, while expressing his pride in hosting the first-ever global esports challenge in the Maldives.
He also said that the participating teams in the Global Faceoff showed exceptional skills and phenomenal sportsmanship.
