Cheval Blanc scores highest on service charge for February

Cheval Blanc Randheli has scored the highest on service charge earnings for the month of February.

Last February, the resort earned US$ 2,070.80 (MVR 31,931.7) per staff.

The details were revealed in a website the details of service charges earned by resorts who disclose the information.

The website showed that Velaa Private Island earned the second highest in terms of service charge. Velaa earned US$ 1,476 (MVR 22,759) as service charge. One and Only Reethi Rah came in third, with MVR 18,766 per staff.

Nine resorts in the country disbursed over a thousand US dollars as service charge. Only one locally run resort are among the nine resorts. Universal Resort’s Milaidhoo Island Resort disbursed US$ 1,175.91 per staff.

Normally, a service charge of 10 percent is levied as a service charge. Some resorts opted not to reveal how much they had earned as service charge.
