Maldivian to Bring Airbus A330 Aircraft in January 2019

Maldivian announces that they will be bringing in an Airbus A330 to their fleet in January 2019.

The Managing Director of Maldivian, Abdul Haris stated that the first ever wide body aircraft that will be brought in can accommodate 335 passengers.

‘We are binging in the aircraft just in time for holiday season so we can accommodate more tourists. We will be commencing flight operations to China‚Äôs Chendu and South Africa,’ he informed.

Maldivian has already published job advertisements to employ Pilots, first officers and cabin crews who would be working on the aircraft. The job openings are due on 13th September 2018.

‘We are behind on recruiting people for the aircraft. However we will be providing sufficient training and assist them with the ratings,’ states Haris.

Maldivian already has daily scheduled flights operating to 6 cities in China including Chendu. Moreover, they have regular flights to Bangkok and Chennai, Trivandrum and also Dhaka.

For international destinations, the Airline uses an A321 Maruka aircraft that accommodates 200 passengers and an A320 aircraft which accommodates 152 passengers.

Maldivian has been working to expand their routes to more destinations worldwide.
