Niyama Private Islands Maldives has been once again awarded by Conde Nast Traveler 2018 Readers’ Choice Awards for the resort’s genuineness, exclusivity and relaxed luxury vibe.

The private luxury getaway slip landed fourth place in the “Best Resorts in the World” category as well as the second place in the “Top Resorts in the Indian Ocean” category.

The Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards is a highly sought out poll that focuses on the “authenticity, personalization and the unexpected in the travel industry” as quoted by Visit Maldives.

This year’s Readers’ Choice Award saw over 300,000 readers casting their vote for the selection, marking a new record in the 30 years since the awards have been given.

Speaking about the private luxury getaway slip, the General Manager Hafidh Al Busaidy said “Niyama offers a distinct twist on the Maldives, with two islands – Chill and Play. With so much to experience, whether surfing the waves that break at Play, partying six meters below the surface off Chill at Subsix, or rejuvenating with A-list consultants from around the globe, guests love the pizzazz that Niyama brings to each moment.”

“To be recognized as the fourth best resort in the world and the second in the Indian Ocean category is a great achievement, and I would like to thank the voters for honoring us, and my team for their dedication, passion and enthusiasm – the foundations of delivering unparalleled guest experiences consistently.

“The fact that we have moved up three places on the list this year is a testament to the resort and the team always evolving, always bringing something new,” Mr. Al Busaidy was quoted by Visit Maldives.

Niyama Private Islands Maldives was the recipient of the accolade at the 31st annual Readers’ Choice Awards in which the resort’s sister property Naladhu Private Island Maldives was crowned top spot as the Top Resort in the Indian Ocean and placed third on Top Resort in the World.

“We are thrilled that Conde Nast Traveler readers appreciate all that Niyama Private Islands Maldives has,” Mr. Al Busaidy said.

The slip is also the recipient of TripAdvisor’s “Certificate of Excellence” in 2015 and making its way into the popular online travel and tourism advisory’s “Hall of Fame” in the same year.

The Niyama Private Islands Maldives is a venture by Minor Hotels which manages popular brands like Anantara and Tivoli. Minor Hotels has its various brands dispersed to a total of 160 countries.
