Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort for late 2018 opening


The official website of Raffles Hotels & Resorts has confirmed their “first luxury destination in the Maldives” set on the private island of Meradhoo, Gaaf Dhaal atoll will be “repositioned following great enhancements in late 2018.”

The luxury venue boasts 21 island villas and 16 ocean villas with private pool access along with 3 restaurants serving fine cuisines from an internationally curated list, with the inclusion of a “scenic cocktail bar.”

The other amenities and facilities up for guest indulgence include an award-winning luxury spa, over-the-water fitness center, yoga programmes, water sports, private dining options and a 24-hour butler and private chef service.

Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort also houses a PADI-certified dive center that offers undersea adventures from some of the most iconic coral reef locations in the world.

The resort is a scenic 55-minute seaplane trip away from Velana International Airport at close proximity of the Maldives capital.

The resort’s operator Raffles Maldives has its parent company established all the way back in 1887 when Raffles Singapore opened. The hotels and resorts corporation is part of the award-winning AccorHotels Group.

The Raffles Hotels & Resort owns twelves international properties first found in Singapore and expanding to Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Philippines, UAE, Saudi Arabia, The Seychelles, Turkey, Poland, France and now in Maldives as well.
