IFAWPCA starts 44th convention with MACI’s inclusion

The International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors Association (IFAWPCA) has commenced their 44th convention with Maldivian construction association MACI at Malaysia.

The local construction association is being represented by former president of MACI Mohamed Ali Janah and Alia Investment’s managing director Alaau Ali along with Damas’ honcho Abdulla Salih at the conference currently ongoing at Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

The conference was officially inaugurated by the Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed while Mr. Salih spoke during the opening ceremony as the chief delegate of IFAWPCA.

The three-day convention started on November 13, Tuesday will last until November 15, Thursday with the new president of IFAWPCA Mr. Mohamed Ali Janah receiving official credentials on the final day of the convention.

Regarded as one of the most influential associations in construction sector across Asian and Western Pacific countries, IFAWPCA is set to host their 45th convention in Maldives next year.
