Two resorts at Emboodhoo lagoon unveiling in 2019

Two resorts and a marina are set for unveiling in 2019 from the resort development project at Emboodhoo lagoon.

The integrated resort project at Kaafu atoll Emboodhoo, dubbed the Cross Roads Project is the largest resort development project ever carried in Maldives. From the resorts under development, Hilton’s Sai Lagoon Maldives Resort and Hard Rock Hotel Maldives are expected to open the following year.

Along with the two resorts up for opening in 2019, it is expected the marina will open with world renowned brands filling up the lot space.

Hard Rock Hotel is developed to attract enthusiasts and fans of the rock music genre. Tourists visiting the resort will be able to get first hand experience in releasing their music talents as well. The resort will include their own ‘Rock Spa’ which is reported to use items designed inspired from the equipment used by musicians and performers of the rock genre.

Holidaymakers will be able to taste myriad of food from either ‘The Elephant’ or ‘The Butterfly’ and Hard Rock’s very own Café established within the resort.

Hilton’s addition at the Cross Roads Project will include 200 beachfront villas and overwater villas. Among the outlets rumored to open under the resort include ‘Bean Co Café’ and ‘Café Delma’ for breakfast, ‘Mister Tom Yum’ for exquisite Thai cuisine and ‘Miss Olive Oil’ will deliver seafood delicacies.

Cross Roads Project is an initiation by Thailand’s Singha Estate amounting to an approximate of USD311 million (MVR4.7 billion) for its first phase, while the entire cost of the project is expected to exceed USD800 million (MVR12.3 billion).
