Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has revealed that the structural works on the new VIP and CIP building at Velana International Airport (VIA) is almost complete, with works having progressed beyond 80 percent.
While the first phase of the building is nearing completing, works on the second phase has already begun.
“All the materials needed for the structural works of the building is currently present at the site. With the materials required for flooring, works will begin shortly during the coming week,” MACL revealed.
The new VIP building is being developed behind the existing one, and is being developed by China’s BUCG company.
