The Bank of Maldives (BML) has launched its ‘Aharenge Bank Community Fund.’
The fund was launched in an initiative to provide financial assistance for individuals or non-profit based organizations.
The Deputy CEO of Bank of Maldives, Mr Mohamed Shareef state that the country’s national bank had doubled up in their investments towards community service over the past two years, adding that the new community, in turn, would provide financial support for similar community-service related projects carried out across the Maldives.
The new community fund was established under Bank Of Maldives’ new ‘Aharenge Bank’ program which aims to strengthen the ties between the bank and its customer base, along with the local community.
In the meantime, BML has opened the window to submit proposals to them for sustainable community service programs and initiatives. Individuals and non-profit organizations alike can present proposals to initiative sports-related events, environmental projects, and educational initiatives as well.
The ‘Aharenge Bank Community Fund’ will be providing monetary support up to MVR50,000 for the five best proposals selected from each quarter throughout 2019.
