A discussion was carried out between Indian and Maldivian representatives regarding ideas on how to improving the bond between lower class and middle-class businesses.
Held at New Delhi by S.M.E and Entrepreneur Federation of Maldives (SEFM), the meeting was conducted on 14 February 2014. It was held with the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME).
The meeting discussed potential ways to be more involved in the Banking, Finance, and Tourism industries in small and middle-class businesses. Further discussions were carried out on topics such as importing the provision of clothing, food supplies, and medications on a wider range of products from India to the Maldives.
A Trade Fair to showcase Indian and Maldivian products and services is planned to be held in September 2019 to strengthen the SME bond between India and Maldives.
