Ooredoo Maldives has launched HD Voice services for the first time in the Maldives.

In a press release, Ooredoo Maldives stated that HD Voice is an advanced telecommunications service enabled through Voice Over LTE Services.

It went on to state that HD Voice would deliver calls over Ooredoo’s 4G+ network, instead of traditional channels and that it would have several benefits to their call services.

HD Voice would allow for crystal clear voice calls over the 4G+ network, faster call setup times, the simultaneous use of 4G+ data services while on an HD voice call, and extended battery life compared to other Voice Over IP (VoIP) apps and traditional voice calls.

Ooredoo also stated that HD Voice services will be provided without any additional costs for customers on the nationwide 4G+ network who have a handset that supports Voice Over LTE (VoLTE).

This initiative is the latest in a stream of updates and new services introduced by the telecom giant.

Ooredoo had previously announced that it would be offering Saver Plans and Speed Boosters for their SuperNet customers, along with a 6-month subscription to Amazon Prime Video.
