Dhiraagu has decided to donate a part of the earnings from their new Ramadan data packages to young persons with disabilities.

The two new Ramadan data packages introduced by Dhiraagu are the 2.5GB package for MVR200, and the 5GB package for MVR300. These packages come with 1GB of allowance for the use of popular social media and other communication apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Viber, Instagram, and Snapchat.

According to Dhiraagu, they would be donating 10% of all earnings from these popular data packages to the local non-profit known as the Maldives Association of Persons with Disabilities (MAPD).

Dhiraagu is a company that is known for acts of corporate social responsibility that aims to aid persons with disabilities.

One such initiative is the “Special Sports Festival”, which is the Maldives only sports festival that is aimed at persons with disabilities. The event has been going on since 2011.

Additionally, Dhiraagu donated 10% of their proceedings to the non-profit, Tiny Hearts of the Maldives. They focus on congenital heart disease and other specific health issues that affect newborns, infants, and young children in the Maldives.
