The Annual General Meeting of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been postponed.
MTCC stated that the reason for this postponing was due to complaints that surfaced regarding submitting forms to take part in the meeting via proxy. The complaints came from individuals nominated for Director positions.
As such, the company decided to postpone their meeting, which was initially scheduled to be held on 15 June 2019. The company also stated that they would announce the new date for the meeting as soon as possible.
The Annual General Meeting will see the minutes of the 2017 meeting shared, along with a presentation of the 2018 Directors’ Report.
Additionally, the meeting will also feature the balance sheet of the company after being audited in 2018. An analysis of the profit and loss of the company during this period, along with the proposal on dividends by the Board of Directors will be presented and decided upon as well.
MTCC also stated that the meeting will decide which firm will audit them for the year 2019, decide the compensation for this work, and see the election of new Directors.
