Dhiraagu Launches 5G Services in the Maldives

The leading telecommunications service provider in the Maldives, Dhiraagu has joined the global race of becoming one of the first companies to introduce the revolutionary 5G service. The company is the first to introduce the gigabit speed connection in South Asia.

Minister of Science, Communication, and Technology, Mohamed Maleeh Jamal launched the service at Dhiraagu head office on Sunday. Minister said that the government aims to give easier digital access to digital services and to provide all the ministries’ public services from one help desk.

Minister added that the government is working to improve the communication authority and ministry to develop its services.

Dhiraagu 5G services will currently be available in the major populated areas in the country; Male’, Villimale’, Addu, Fuvahmulah, Gan, Fonadhoo, Kulhudhuffushi, and Eydhafushi said CEO and Managing Director of Dhiraagu, Ismail Rasheed at the event.

With any device that supports 5G, anyone will be able to use 5G services without any additional charges through their current SIM.
