The fourth addition to Manta Air’s seaplane fleet arrives in Maldives on Tuesday evening.
Traveling from Canada, the fourth DHC-6 Twin Otter graced Maldivian soil on 17:00hrs at Velana International Airport.
The newest domestic airline flew in their first batch of seaplanes during the previous month. A total of three seaplanes arrived in October.
The seaplanes are equipped with the latest in Garmin G950 NXI Next Generation flight deck technology. In addition to this, the aircraft come with state-of-the-art weather radars.
Holding a passenger capacity of 15 including pilots the seaplanes will be a gamechanger according to the airline.
Manta Air will reportedly fly in a total of 10 seaplanes to their fleet while they are prepping to commence operations on 10 November.
The seaplane operations will commence with pre-booking services for customers and will adhere to same standards as the airline’s domestic operations.
