The Techstars Startup Weekend Maldives will commence on 15 November lasting until 17 November 2019.
The entrepreneurship-based event will be led by the largest telecommunication provider in Maldives, Dhiraagu in collaboration with Sparkhub.
The Techstars Startup Weekend is a model developed by Techstars, powered by Google for Startups and have successfully run the model in over 150 countries.
The Startup Weekend is a 54-hour event where groups of developers, designers and startup enthusiasts pool together to expand their respective networks, work in teams and learn how to pitch, fine-tune and demo new business ideas.
During the 54-hour event, participants will come in direct contact with business coaches, mentors and panel of judges from the industry.
The mentors are some of the best active in the entrepreneurial field, which includes individuals from Dhiraagu. The experts delivering their sound advice and mentorship includes established entrepreneurs and co-founders representing local companies.
Areas focused for guidance in the Startup camp include business development, product development and innovation, brand and marketing, legal, finance, tech and entrepreneurship.
Dhiraagu along with Sparkhub have been at the forefront on strengthening the local startup community and push the culture forward. The duo has been responsible in introducing Lean Startup Machine; the world’s leading startup workshop and Angelhack, the first international hackathon in the Maldives.
In addition to this, startups are given the positive push through the Startup Grind X events as well.
