Hilton to Open New Curio Collection Resort in Maldives

Hilton is set to open a new resort in Maldives, following a franchise agreement with Singha Estate.

The resort will join Hilton’s Curio Collection which hosts nearly 50 hotels globally. The leisure and entertainment resort currently under development in Emboodhoo Lagoon will be part of Hilton’s ‘Crossroads’ project, managed by S Hotels & Resorts – a subsidiary of Singha Estate. The resort is expected to be in operation by the end of this year.

Global Brand Head of Curio Collection by Hilton, Mark Nogal said that the company is excited about the new resort in the Maldives.

“The Maldives is renowned for being a one-of-a-kind tropical paradise and we are confident that the resort will offer curious travelers seeking an authentic experience truly memorable accommodations,” Nogal said, in hoteldesigns.net

The new Hilton resort in the Maldives will comprise of 198 guest rooms, beach villas, and overwater villas in addition to fitness centre and a swimming pool. The resort will also host duty free shops and multiple restaurants. The guests can also enjoy the beach club, water sports, a diving centre, a cultural centre, and a kids club.

Senior Vice President, Development, Asia & Australia, for Hilton, Guy Phillips said that they were proud to introduce the Curio Collection to one of the most renowned and celebrated tourist destinations in the Maldives.

Once completed, the property in Emboodhoo Lagoon will be the second property owned by the Hilton. The other property by the Group in the Maldives is Conrad Maldived Rangali Island.
