The Maldives telecom giant Dhiraagu has been appointed as the title sponsor of MasterChef Maldives edition.
The MasterChef is a global franchise focusing on the cookery talents of individuals competing against each other for the win.
The international cooking franchise, was officially launched on Saturday evening at the premises of Television Maldives (TVM).
The CEO and Managing Director of Dhiraagu, on their decision to take the title sponsor slot said the company will continue putting strong efforts in working for national interests.
“At Dhiraagu, we always focus on what benefits the people receive from any initiative we associate with. This initiative will help several locals in learning new skills in cooking, which will in turn help them to attain several career opportunities as well,” Dhiraagu’s CEO and Managing Director Ismail Rasheed commented.
“Previously we took the title sponsor of Maldivian Idol, which focused on the entertainment industry of the country. This program [MasterChef] also provides several competitive and entertainment elements as well,” Rasheed added.
Apart from Dhiraagu, which took the title sponsor slot, three other major sponsors of the event were announced on Saturday’s launching of MasterChef.
The other major sponsors of the event include Bank of Maldives (BML), Villa College and State Trading Organization (STO).
Public Service Media (PSM), the organizer of the franchise event had also noted on the exposure and networking possibilities for the event sponsors.
The first season of MasterChef Maldives is slated to air on September 2020, however auditions and judges announcement will precede.
MasterChef is the most prominent cooking related franchise show currently in the world, with more than 62 global destinations.
Maldives is the 63rd inclusion to the franchise.
