Kuredu Resort Secures TUI Environmental Champion Award for 2020

Kuredu Island Resort has secured the TUI Environmental Champion Award for the fifth constructive year. The TUI Environmental Champion audit covers a wide range of criteria in areas of conservation of the environment and implementation of social responsibility.

“it is with great honor to announce that Kuredu has been awarded the TUI Environmental Champion award for 2020! For already the fifth consecutive year, this important award is a testament to the resort’s ongoing, measurable actions toward sustainable hotel management.” A statement by the resort read.

“We are pleased to have again received this accolade, but even more so that thanks to the guidance of TUI that complements and enhances our commitment to sustainability, Kuredu is a more responsible resort every year,” The statement further read.

The resort is also a proud recipient of the Travelife Gold Award for 2018-2020.

Kuredu Island Resort in the northern Lhaviyani Atoll of the Republic of Maldives is the second-largest island resort with the highest occupancy rate in the Maldives.  The island is 1.8 KM long, 325 meters wide, and has 300 meters long jetty. In all, Kuredu is with a total landmass of 335,870 square meters and it’s perimeter extends to about 3.5 KMs.
