Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) Limited has announced its decision to digitize and issue the utility bills electronically via online app.
MWSC confirms they opted for electronically pushed utility bill comes in light of the COVID-19 viral pandemic, due to which the Maldives government has decided to temporarily shutdown state institutions from normal operating procedures.
The utility company confirms, this decision was to further ensure the safety of MWSC employees and the general public.
MWSC states the utility bills will be sent to registered residences through their online application.
The application allows registered customers to pay pending bills via mobile-pay options, monitor water usage as well as engage with customer-care representatives through live-chat options.
Moreover, MWSC notes printed bills will be sent to residences that have not registered for the online app, and the printed bills will reach only to the ground floor of unregistered residences.
Amid the viral outbreak, most service-based companies have opted for online methods in rending their services.
