Maldive Gas announced it has completely stopped accepting payments made via cash.
The gas distributor on Wednesday confirmed its decision to transform the payment system 100% cashless. Maldive Gas made the move to ensure both customer and staff safety amid persisting viral contagion outbreak.
The company have facilitated two payment options for its customer base, which includes online purchase order and payment through the official website of Maldive Gas.
Another approach is contacting them via hotline at 1616 and transfer billed amount to the verified bank account.
Maldive Gas further confirmed orders placed via calls to the hotline will be processed only after the payment transfer slip is digitally forwarded to the company’s Viber contact at 7021616.
Permitted entities; businesses and individuals can physically attend to place orders at the utility company’s outlets between 15:00hrs and 17:00hrs and between 22:30hrs and 00:30hrs.
