Health Protection Agency (HPA) of Maldives have permitted employees to enter the tourist resorts of their employment.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Tourism on Wednesday confirmed all employees working in tourist resorts not under HPA monitoring or observed elapse of 14 days past lift of monitoring status can resume work at the said venues.
Moreover, resorts under monitoring or not past the 14-day duration post monitoring lift will be placed under quarantine for a 14-day period upon arrival at said venues, before resuming duty.
Furthermore, resort employees wishing to resume work at their employment venue must inform to the ministry prior to embarking.
Earlier, Maldives government announced the tourism industry expects a July reopening.
