MWSC recognises employees at 2026 Staff Awards Night

MWSC recognised 40 employees across 12 award categories and presented long-service recognition awards to 69 staff members at its 2026 Staff Awards Night.

Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has held its 2026 Staff Awards Night, recognising employees for performance, long service and contributions to the company.

The event was held at Manhattan Grand Hotel, with awards presented to employees across 12 categories.

A total of 40 employees received awards, while 69 long-serving staff members were presented with recognition awards for their service to the company.

During the event, MWSC Managing Director Hussain Fahmy also launched the company’s new “OneMWSC” initiative.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening unity across the company by bringing employees from different departments and areas of work together around a shared organisational purpose. MWSC said the initiative is intended to build a stronger working environment based on trust, cooperation and shared success.

Speaking at the event, Fahmy said the Staff Awards Night was intended to recognise employee talent and hard work while encouraging staff to continue progressing in their careers.

He also highlighted efforts undertaken during the past year to support employee development, including short- and long-term scholarship opportunities, training, health and wellbeing initiatives and improvements to the working environment.

MWSC said it continues to invest in modern technology and resources to ensure reliable water and sewerage services, which remain essential public utilities.
