Dhiraagu Q3 profit rises 5% to MVR 224.7 million

Dhiraagu recorded a profit after tax of MVR 224.7 million in the third quarter of 2026, up 5% from MVR 214.1 million in the previous quarter.

Revenue stood at MVR 728.2 million, down 0.8% from MVR 734.1 million in Q2. However, revenue was 2% higher than the same quarter last year, with Dhiraagu attributing the year-on-year growth primarily to higher mobile revenue.

The company said the increase in profit came despite the slight quarterly decline in revenue and reflected effective cost management.

Direct costs fell 13.4% quarter-on-quarter to MVR 101.4 million, while results from operating activities increased 3.2% to MVR 316.7 million.

Mobile revenue increased to MVR 398.4 million from MVR 394.1 million in the previous quarter. Revenue from fixed, broadband and enterprise services declined to MVR 304.4 million from MVR 315.1 million.

For the first nine months of 2026, Dhiraagu recorded MVR 659.1 million in profit after tax on revenue of MVR 2.19 billion.

Earnings per share increased to MVR 2.96 during the quarter, compared with MVR 2.82 in Q2.

Dhiraagu also approved an interim dividend of MVR 1.66 per share for 2026, amounting to MVR 126.2 million.
