Maldivian, the
national airline of the Maldives, has announced the launch of its Premium
Economy service for all domestic routes, which will be available starting April
13, 2025. The new service is aimed at enhancing the travel experience for
passengers by offering increased comfort and convenience on domestic flights.
Travellers can
now book seats in the Premium Economy class, which includes a range of benefits
designed to make flying smoother and more enjoyable. Among the key features is
an increased baggage allowance of 25 kilograms, one complimentary date change,
and priority check-in at the airport. These services will ensure that Premium
Economy passengers have a more efficient and streamlined experience from start
to finish.
Additionally,
passengers flying from Malé will be able to access the Moonimaa Lounge, which
provides a relaxing space with comfortable seating, refreshments, and other
amenities before their flight. Travellers departing from Dharavandhoo and Ifuru
airports will also enjoy similar access to their respective lounges.
Premium Economy
passengers will benefit from priority boarding, ensuring they are among the
first to board their flight. Onboard, they will receive a complimentary snack
and drink, adding to the comfort of their journey. Furthermore, the airline is
offering fast-track baggage handling for Premium Economy travellers, meaning
their luggage will be among the first to arrive at the baggage claim area after
landing.
With the new
service, Maldivian aims to provide its passengers with a higher standard of
comfort and service on domestic flights. The Premium Economy class is available
for booking through Maldivian’s website, mobile app, and other booking
channels. Passengers are invited to experience the enhanced travel experience
and enjoy the added benefits of this new offering.
