BML launches American Express promotion with weekly MVR 1,000 spending threshold

BML and BML Islamic American Express cardholders who spend at least MVR 1,000 a week from 5 November to 31 December can qualify for a draw offering four prizes, including resort and dining experiences and Apple products.

Bank of Maldives (BML) has launched a new promotion for BML and BML Islamic American Express debit and credit cardholders, offering four prizes ranging from a resort stay to an Apple product collection.

The promotion runs from 5 November to 31 December 2026, with customers required to spend at least MVR 1,000 each week using an eligible BML or BML Islamic American Express debit or credit card to qualify for the lucky draw.

Purchases made through BML Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals, BML Payment Gateway and QR payments will count towards the weekly spending requirement.

Four winners will be selected at the end of the promotion.

The prizes include a dining experience for two at Hard Rock Cafe Maldives; an Apple collection featuring a MacBook Neo, Apple Watch and AirPods; a getaway to Villa Mia, Fulhadhoo, including an excursion for the winner and four accompanying friends or family members; and a two-night resort stay for two with a manta ray snorkelling experience.

The promotion is aimed at encouraging American Express cardholders to use their cards for everyday purchases during the promotional period.
