Exhibitor participation in Maldives Expo 2026 has increased by 225% compared with last year, with 780 exhibitors registered for this year’s event, Economic Development, Transport and Trade Minister Mohamed Saeed has said.
The figure is up from 240 exhibitors last year, reflecting a significant expansion of the national exhibition ahead of its 2026 edition. Saeed announced the latest figures during a press conference at the President’s Office.
Maldives Expo 2026 will run from 25 October to 2 November at Central Park in Hulhumalé. The event brings together local businesses, entrepreneurs, creators and innovators to showcase products and services and connect with new markets.
This year’s expo will feature seven districts, including two new additions — the Visitor Economy District and the International Exhibitors District. The Visitor Economy District will showcase tourism experiences and services from islands and tourism businesses, while the International Exhibitors District is intended to strengthen connections between Maldivian businesses and overseas markets.
Saeed said 10 islands will participate in the Visitor Economy District. The International Exhibitors District is expected to include 15 businesses from China and 15 participants from India, while organisers are also working to secure participation from the United Arab Emirates.
The expo will also feature areas dedicated to entrepreneurship, technology, creative industries, entertainment and local products. The official programme includes 16 competition categories covering 73 sub-categories.
