Ooredoo Maldives and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs have launched “Ooredoo Masjiduna,” a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to repair five mosques across the Maldives each year ahead of Ramadan.
The initiative will support repairs and improvements to mosques in different regions, helping communities prepare for the holy month. According to the Ministry, work on the selected mosques will be completed before Ramadan each year.
The Ministry said the partnership aims to improve religious buildings and facilities while addressing community needs across the country. It also described the initiative as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between the government and private companies in developing Islamic infrastructure and supporting the sustainable maintenance of mosques.
Ooredoo said the programme reflects its commitment to “Enriching Lives” by giving back to the communities it serves.
