Onions, eggs, and potatoes are among the major imports of STO, especially for the holy month of Ramzan.

According to STO The primary purpose of importing these items is to maintain stable and affordable prices during the fasting period. Since Ramzan is a time of high food demand, STO aims to provide these essential items at reasonable prices.

The prices are determined based on market rates, and STO may adjust sales prices in response to market fluctuations. In exceptional cases, regional market changes may lead to price variations in specific areas. However, under normal circumstances, STO ensures uniform pricing across all its regional outlets.

Currently, a box of eggs is sold for MVR 320, while a sack of potatoes is priced at MVR 310. These items are available wholesale from the STO Wholesale Center and the warehouse in the Industrial Village.

At STO People's Choice, eggs are sold at MVR 2 per egg, and potatoes are priced at MVR 18 per kilogram. A sack of onions is available for MVR 310, while the price per kilogram is MVR 14.

Additionally, a 5kg box of fresh limes is priced at MVR 145, with the price per kilogram set at MVR 29.

STO People's Choice outlets will sell these items at retail prices, while wholesale purchases can be made at designated STO centers.
