Ooredoo Maldives has launched a Ramadan social media promotion inviting users to share watermelon themed photos and videos for a chance to win weekly prizes, as part of a new campaign titled “Ooredoo Karaa Moments.”
The initiative encourages participants to post creative content on social platforms using the hashtag #OoredooKaraaMoments. According to Ooredoo Maldives, entries can range from showcasing watermelon themed phone covers and artistic fruit photography to sharing moments of enjoying watermelon or gameplay clips from the company’s “Karaa Fehun” watermelonslicing game.
The campaign will run throughout the month of Ramadan, with one winner selected each week. Winners will receive a special gift pack from Sosan Fihaara. The first winner is scheduled to be announced tonight.
By structuring the contest around user generated content and a recognisable Ramadan theme, Ooredoo is seeking to drive online engagement during a period traditionally associated with increased social media activity. The use of a branded hashtag is expected to consolidate campaign visibility across platforms and encourage broader participation.
