Ooredoo Maldives has opened registrations for Ooredoo Fun Run 2026, with applications accepted until 11:59pm on 7 November 2026.

The event is scheduled to take place in Hulhumalé on 11 December, following Ooredoo’s announcement earlier this year confirming the return of the annual community run.

The Fun Run is positioned as a recreational rather than competitive running event, combining physical activity with entertainment for families and participants of different ages. Previous editions have been organised as a 5-kilometre run, with participants able to run, walk or jog rather than compete for finishing times.

The event has grown considerably in recent years. More than 7,000 participants took part in the 2025 Hulhumalé edition, up from more than 6,500 participants the previous year.

Ooredoo has also expanded the Fun Run beyond the Greater Malé area. An Addu City edition held in June 2025 attracted more than 3,000 participants, with colour, foam and obstacle stations placed along the route.

The company is encouraging individuals and families interested in this year’s event to complete registration through the official Fun Run registration platform before the deadline.
