Bank of Maldives (BML) has signed as the Banking Partner of Maldives Expo 2026, extending its support for the national exhibition focused on local businesses, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation.
Maldives Expo 2026, jointly organised by the Business Centre Corporation and the Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade, will run from 25 October to 2 November at Hulhumalé Central Park.
This year’s Expo is set to be substantially larger than the 2025 edition. Participation has increased from 240 participants last year to 780 this year, while the number of items to be showcased has doubled from 2,400 to 4,800, according to the Economic Ministry.
The exhibition will be organised across seven districts, including dedicated areas for the creative economy, digital innovation, tourism and the visitor economy, international exhibitors, entertainment and a marketplace for local businesses. Businesses from China and India are also expected to participate in the international component of the Expo.
BML also supported the previous edition of the event, serving as Main Sponsor of Maldives Expo 2025. At the time, the Bank said its participation formed part of its efforts to support local businesses, innovators and creative professionals.
As Banking Partner for the 2026 edition, BML said its involvement reflects its continued commitment to initiatives that support local enterprises, encourage innovation and contribute to economic growth.
