Allied Insurance Named Title Sponsor for Hulhumalé Run 2026

Allied Insurance has been announced as the Title Sponsor for Hulhumalé Run 2026, a major community running event organised by Elite Runners Maldives and scheduled to take place on May 22, 2026, at the Hulhumalé Central Park area. The event will be held under the official title “Allied Hulhumalé Run 2026,” reflecting the insurer’s role as the primary sponsor.

The run is expected to attract more than 2,500 participants from across the Maldives, bringing together amateur and professional runners, families, and fitness enthusiasts. Organisers say the event aims to promote active lifestyles while strengthening community engagement through a large-scale sporting initiative.

Four race categories have been introduced to accommodate participants of different ages and fitness levels. These include a one-mile Family Run designed for families, a five-kilometre run, a ten-kilometre race, and a 21-kilometre half marathon intended for experienced and competitive runners.

As part of its sponsorship, Allied Insurance will provide accidental insurance coverage to all registered participants for the duration of the event. The company stated that the initiative reflects the importance of ensuring runners are protected against unforeseen incidents during physically demanding activities.

In addition to supporting the event’s safety measures, Allied Insurance will also sponsor prizes for winners across multiple race categories. The prizes will include Allied Health Coverage and annual travel insurance plans.

The Hulhumalé Run has emerged as a prominent community fitness event in recent years, drawing participation from runners across the country. Organisers view the 2026 edition as an opportunity to further expand public interest in running and healthy living while encouraging wider community participation.

With preparations underway for the May event, Elite Runners Maldives and Allied Insurance expect the race to once again serve as a platform that combines sport, community engagement, and health awareness in Hulhumalé.
