Armenian carrier Shirak Avia is set to launch weekly flights between Yerevan and Malé from 14 November 2026, according to regional and Maldivian media reports.
The service will operate on Saturdays between Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan and Velana International Airport in Malé, using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The flights will make a technical stop in Muscat, Oman, before continuing to their destination.
Under the published schedule, flight 5G963 is expected to depart Yerevan at 3:05am and arrive in Malé at 12:10pm. The return service, 5G964, is scheduled to leave Malé at 1:10pm and arrive in Yerevan at 8:15pm.
The route is planned for the 2026/27 winter season and is expected to continue through March 2027. Armenian media had earlier reported that Shirak Avia would introduce Maldives services as part of its winter schedule expansion.
The new service will add another scheduled air connection to the Maldives during the peak winter travel period. Velana International Airport is also introducing additional terminal arrangements to accommodate increased international operations during the winter season.
