Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has issued a passenger advisory ahead of the busy Eid al-Adha holiday travel period, urging all travellers departing from Velana International Airport (VIA) to arrive at the airport well in advance of their scheduled flights.
According to MACL, passenger movement is expected to increase significantly during the holiday season. The company advised passengers travelling between now and Saturday, 31 May 2026, to carefully follow the reporting times and instructions issued by their respective airlines in order to avoid delays.
MACL also stated that its teams will be deployed across the airport to assist passengers and ensure smooth airport operations throughout the busy period.
The company thanked passengers for their cooperation and wished all travellers a safe and pleasant journey.
