Ooredoo Maldives Chief Business Officer Rajesh Mehta delivered a keynote address on the role of technology and artificial intelligence in tourism at the inaugural Safety and Security Conference 2026 held at Barceló Nasandhura Malé.
The conference brought together tourism operators, government representatives and industry experts to discuss safety and security across the tourism sector.
During his address, Mehta highlighted opportunities for the Maldives from developments in technology and AI, while also stressing the importance of cybersecurity, security awareness and resilient networks.
He also participated in a panel discussion during the conference.
The event was organised by the Maldives Association of Fire, Safety and Security Industry.
