The fourth edition of the Three Generation Walk (3GenWalk), organised by the Pension Office, will take place in HDh. Hanimaadhoo on 17 October 2026.
The event will bring together children, parents and grandparents to promote financial literacy, wellbeing and long-term financial security. It aims to encourage conversations about saving, investing and retirement planning, emphasising the importance of developing healthy financial habits at every stage of life.
A symbolic one-kilometre walk will be the centrepiece of the event, with generations walking side by side to highlight financial preparedness as a lifelong journey and a shared responsibility.
Following the walk, participants will gather for a family evening featuring carnival games, interactive stalls, live cultural performances, a food court and activities for all generations.
Through 3GenWalk, the Pension Office aims to strengthen connections between generations and provide opportunities for families to spend meaningful time together. The event also encourages older persons to remain active and engaged in their families and communities.
By creating an inclusive space for generations to connect and share experiences, the event seeks to build greater awareness of financial wellbeing and the importance of planning for the future.
