Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has announced that it conducted a remarkable 447 training programs for its employees during the past three months, underscoring the company’s commitment to continuous workforce development and operational excellence.
According to
MACL, the extensive training sessions were organized by its Learning and
Development Department throughout the third quarter of 2025. A total of 7,773
participants took part in these programs, which were delivered primarily by the
company’s own certified trainers. The initiative aims to ensure that MACL’s
employees remain well-trained, competent, and prepared to meet the evolving
demands of the aviation industry.
In addition to
employee-focused programs, MACL also extended its educational outreach to the
community. Over the same period, the company organized four guided tours for
local school students, offering them insights into the daily operations of Velana
International Airport and the diverse career opportunities available within
MACL. A total of 273 students participated in these tours, gaining first-hand
exposure to key airport facilities and learning about various technical and
administrative functions.
MACL emphasized
that such initiatives are part of its broader strategy to develop local talent
in the aviation sector and other essential fields that support airport
operations. The company reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing skills,
enhancing professional capabilities, and contributing to the overall growth and
strength of the Maldivian aviation industry.
Through
continuous investment in training and community engagement, MACL continues to
position itself as a driving force behind human capital development in the
Maldives’ aviation sector.
