The Finance Ministry has invited proposals from qualified and experienced liquidators to undertake the voluntary liquidation and dissolution of Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation Limited (MITDC).
The request for proposals (RFP), issued under Project Number
PC-13/2025/C-01, follows a government decision to wind up the operations of
MITDC, a state-owned company incorporated under Section 6 of the Companies Act
of Maldives. As the sole shareholder, the Government is seeking a liquidator to
manage the process in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
According to the RFP, the appointed liquidator will be
responsible for taking control of MITDC’s assets, properties and records,
realising assets transparently, settling liabilities and creditor claims in
line with statutory priorities, and managing all legal and regulatory matters,
leading to the company’s final dissolution.
The Government stressed that, given MITDC’s status as a
state company, the liquidation must be carried out with high standards of
transparency, accountability and good governance.
Proposals must be submitted physically to the Finance Ministry and Planning, Ground Floor Reception, Ameenee Magu, Malé 20379, by 1:30 pm on 29 January 2026. Submissions sent by email or online platforms will not be accepted.
