Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has
expanded its international reach through a new strategic partnership with
Hahnair, connecting the carrier to one of the world’s largest airline
distribution networks.
Under the agreement, Maldivian flights are now accessible in
all major Global Distribution Systems (GDS) through the Hahnair Technologies X1
code. This integration allows travel agents in 190 markets to seamlessly book
and issue tickets using the standard GDS process on the insolvency-protected
HR-169 ticket.
The partnership significantly boosts Maldivian’s global
distribution capabilities, making it easier for international travelers to
purchase flights to and within the Maldives. By joining Hahnair’s network of
more than 350 partner airlines, Maldivian aims to enhance convenience, improve
connectivity, and strengthen its position in key global markets.
The airline said the collaboration reflects its ongoing
commitment to offering reliable and accessible travel options to one of the
world’s most sought-after destinations.
