Bank of Maldives has opened applications for the Bank Fund 2026, its annual grant programme aimed at helping registered NGOs and clubs carry out sustainable, community-focused projects across the Maldives.
Now in its third consecutive year, the fund will award MVR 200,000 each to five selected projects. Projects will be supported under four main areas: education, environment, sports and community development.
BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said the fund reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting local organisations and helping them bring ideas that benefit their communities to life.
“At Bank of Maldives, we firmly believe that lasting progress is built from the ground up. The Bank Fund reflects our dedication to enabling local organisations to turn their innovative ideas into tangible benefits for their communities,” Shareef said.
Since its launch, the Bank Fund has supported nine NGOs in implementing projects that address local needs.
Registered NGOs and clubs in the Maldives can submit completed application forms and project proposals by emailing bankfund@bml.com.mv. Applications must be submitted by 2:00pm on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
