Ooredoo Maldives will showcase its PayPal integration with mFaisaa at the Maldives Financial Expo 2026, running from 2 to 4 July at Central Park, Hulhumale.
The expo is organized by the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA). It runs daily from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and brings together financial sector players to promote financial literacy, innovation, and inclusion, according to Ooredoo Maldives.
At its stall, Ooredoo Fintech will present its digital financial ecosystem, including the recently launched PayPal link with mFaisaa, the company's mobile wallet service. The integration allows customers to receive USD payments from PayPal directly into their mFaisaa wallets.
Ooredoo said the service is aimed at freelancers, entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises, content creators, and businesses seeking to participate in the global digital economy.
Ahmed Numan, Head of Fintech at Ooredoo Maldives, will join a panel discussion at the expo on the future of digital payments and financial innovation. Numan is expected to speak on how digital financial services are driving financial inclusion and expanding access to global markets, the company said.
Ooredoo has invited the public to visit its booth over the three days of the expo to learn more about mFaisaa and its wider digital financial services.
