President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that land reclamation works under Hulhumalé Phase 3 have been completed.
He made the announcement at a campaign event held by his party on Saturday night.
The previous government had allocated land plots to residents of Malé under the project, and with the reclamation works now finished, arrangements are being made to hand over the plots to recipients in the near future.
He also stated that dredging works at Giraavarufalhu will begin soon. The area had also been allocated for land development during the previous administration.
To accelerate dredging and reclamation activities, President Muizzu noted that the government has brought in additional dredgers to support ongoing and upcoming projects.
The government aims to expedite land development efforts to meet housing needs and improve infrastructure in the Greater Malé Region.
